ADC Handwara finalises arrangements
HANDWARA, OCTOBER 30: Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, Friday chaired a meeting in his chamber to discuss and finalise arrangements for the celebration of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), observed every year on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
During the meeting, the ADC reviewed preparations for the smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations and emphasised the importance of promoting national unity, integrity and solidarity among citizens. He stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned departments to ensure that the programme is organised in a befitting manner.
The ADC directed the officers to ensure timely completion of all necessary arrangements and discharge their assigned responsibilities with dedication and commitment. He underscored that National Unity Day serves as an important occasion to reaffirm the collective resolve towards preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
The meeting was attended by the DSP DAR Handwara,Tehsildar Handwara, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Kupwara/Handwara, Principals of Boys’ and Girls’ Higher Secondary Schools, Handwara; Zonal Education Officer Handwara, Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Handwara, and Zonal Physical Education Officer Handwara, besides other concerned officials.
