BHADERWAH, MAY 03: In an inspiring initiative to promote tourism and fitness, the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) successfully organized the “Baisakhi Pinnacle Challenge – Pedal to the Peak,” a 190 km long-distance cycling ride from Jammu to the scenic valley of Bhaderwah.

As many as  35 cyclists, as per an official statement, from different regions including Jammu, Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand participated in the event, showcasing unity and enthusiasm for adventure tourism.

The cyclists were flagged off from M.A Stadium, Jammu and completed their journey at the picturesque Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Bhaderwah.

Upon their arrival, the participants received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from ADC Sunil Kumar Bhutyal; CEO BDA Sanjeev Sharma; Tehsildar Kamalpreet Singh; AO BDA Manmit Ganjoo and Dr. Ifthker.

The primary aim of the cycling challenge was to highlight Bhaderwah as an emerging tourist destination while also spreading awareness about important national campaigns like “Nasha Mukt Bharat” and “Fit India.” The event emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and a drug-free society.

Officials appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers, stating that such events not only boost tourism but also encourage youth to engage in positive and healthy activities.

The “Pedal to the Peak” challenge stands as a successful step towards promoting Bhaderwah’s natural beauty and adventure potential on a wider platform.
