KULGAM, JULY 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Shahzad Alam Monday chaired a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat Kulgam.

A detailed review of the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission works was conducted. It was informed that out of 221 sanctioned works, 139 have been completed, while 109 out of 143 water supply schemes have been commissioned till date.

The DDC, as per an official statement, reviewed the physical and financial progress of water supply works and emphasised on inter departmental coordination and proper supervision of ongoing works.

The Chairman directed all concerned officers to expedite the execution of works with special emphasis on the completion and commissioning of Rapid Sand Filtration Plants (RSFPs) and achieving 100% Har Ghar Jal certification at the earliest.

The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Anantnag/Kulgam, Chief Planning Officer Kulgam , DPMU team Kulgam , Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti  Divisions Kulgam and Qazigund, Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical Awantipora, Assistant Executive Engineer’s of Kulgam and Qazigund and Assistant Executive Engineer, Ground Water Division Srinagar.
